FAMILY ENDURANCE - day 39 NETZACH sh b’YESOD

PSALMS OF MY SOUL

NETZACH sh b’YESOD ~ Family Endurance Within Bonding

The lecture on “Communication” that I’ll attend today with my younger sister, I realize for me, deals with Netzach sh b’ Yesod.  We are quite bonded in love and are present for each other. It’s the reason I have not moved to the City nor near the ocean.

Last summer while my sister was greatly incapacitated for several months following an accident and serious surgery, with total commitment I served as her loving caregiver. Because sadly I have much experience in this realm, and because I love my sister, I am an excellent caregiver. I function powerfully in Netzach/endurance especially if someone is not well, to help them have all they need to survive well. I have been Caregiver Angel Warrior!

Living nearby and being so sisterly close those healing months posed challenges,  put stress on both of us. We had to confront those trials that threatened our bond and relationship.  Now that my sister is well, we will attend the Communication lecture as we go forward in enduring our sisterly bond in the best way possible. We are both aware of our devotion to each other and we know we can depend on each other. Our styles may be different, as are our personalities, and learning skills of ‘communication' later today at the lecture, we will better survive better as bonded family.

How committed are you to others, and to your beliefs and actions?
Are your actions healthy as you endure family relationships?
How can you maintain in balance your bonding with others especially when obstacles exist.

My two granddaughters are almost (more) the same age difference as are my younger sister and myself.
May their sisterly relationship be enduring, strengthened and guided in a bonding foundation of love.
As they mature, may they be blessed to go beyond any younger sibling feelings (jealousy, dislike, distrust) that does not benefit them, with need to be fixed, and recognize their fine traits and that they are blood sisters for as long as they live! -Bubbie Joy

May the refinement work of cosmic cleansing that I do on myself during the 49 days of Kabbalistically Counting the Sephirat HaOmer help me to mamash/truly be who I am, and need to become. I need to delete klipot/husks (negative influences) and again ready myself for Shavuot by strengthening, elevating and perfecting my midot/character traits.

Note: The counting of the Omer takes place between Passover and Shavuot, and each day is associated with a specific Kabbalistic combination pair of Sephirot.  For a greater explanation and understanding of this theme, see Rabbi Simon Jacobson's "A Spiritual Guide to the Counting of the Omer," which may be found on http://www.chabad.org/ or http://www.meaningfullife.com/
