A few years ago when leaving to do a mitzvah, to prepare and set up a home for a friend Moriah's, z"l, funeral for a 'condolence meal' and Shiva for the returning family and friends, I dreaded the drive toward the home into the mountain. Past experiences, I felt fear along the cliff edges, and rocky winding roads. This time, early morning, I looked far for miles into the distance and lifted my eyes as in Psalm 121, and my Help came to easily fly me on angel's wings into the mountain. I also made it alone back down. 

My gentle and generous friend, named for a mountain, Moriah, had great courage to live in her beauty and balance, and had lifted her eyes many times through the clouds toward the Glory of G*d. I was blessed to know Moriah.

With Harmony and Compassion in Eternity, and exuberance and joy, reaching out through music and Torah to Chevre, Holy Beggars, children, students, elderly, musicians, prisoners, patients, homeless… and all denominations all over the world-- Reb Shlomo Carlebach, z"l, daily for decades with endurance and dedication, redirected our Jewish neshamahs / souls toward tshuvah / return to ourselves and the Holy One, and with emunah and bitachon / faith and trust in G*d. Reb Shlomo helped all find themselves and triumph with their personal truth within their personal endurance and stamina.

GRATITUDE WITHIN CHALLENGES - day 26 Hod sh b'Netzach

Today's energies are Netzach/going forward in determination and in Hod/Gratitude and Appreciation.

My inner strength to move forward in Netzach comes from the Divine, as does my grateful acknowledgment in Hod for all I have and endure.

It is my inner strength that allows me to pursue with passion and depth, and not give up;  to shoot a photograph for a photo group challenge them that must meet standards or create a greeting card or design an event flyer, until I succeed at my desire to create a good product. These are small personal projects that help me to bring joy to our world, part of my earthly mission.

What are the obstacles in my path in order to succeed, and then to reach a state of Hod/splendor and gratitude?
 Does trying, and succeeding help me purify myself, my qualities, toward preparing for Shavuot?
 How can I best show gratitude for all that I have, and have endured to achieve success?

  I know that challenges are to be spiritually seen as blesSings, but only when the blesSings are revealed do I understand that belief. 

Despite trials, I call on the Light of my soul, and I can meet challenges.

I thank G*d for opening my eyes to witness beauty in our world and give me strength to face each day. With my photos of nature I try also to reveal G*d's Face for others.  Witnessing In Hod, I am in awe and grateful for G*d's gifts.
