follows the colors of the Sephirot
and Torah's days of the week
as designed by Reb Zalman Schachter-Shalomi
for his Rainbow Tallit
with a bissel poetic license by Joy Krauthammer.
Joy painted the Tallit corners, and Ruth Zitch sewed them onto Tallit.
Ruth Zitch embroidered, and patiently with Tiferet / love and harmony pulled out thin woven weft threads in order to add ribbons, as designed by Joy K.
Each knotted fringe tassel of warp consciously holds 26 counted very thin wool threads. Each warp thread was carefully separated and counted with a needle to make a meaningful gematria.
Decorating the tallit is for Hiddur Mitzvah / beautification enhancement of ritual, ceremonial objects.
Members of B'nai Horin, LA, helped tie Tzitzit for Joy's Tallit in ceremonial ritual, 1993
during High Holidays.
Joy and Ruth made another similar Tallit for Joy's daughter Aviva.
