Entering through Gevurah to Hod I
contemplate at times that I am unable to walk peacefully by water’s beauty. When
must I be conscious of elements that restrict and limit me for my safety? What
great Power is in my midst?
By the ocean, I am humble in Hod/awe.
Ocean represents much to me; strength,
magnificence, depth, peace, exploration, adventure, connection, play, freedom,
endlessness, fear.
To me this photo shot last week on an immense
windy day (60 MPH with sand in my eyes and camera lens, and turned me away from
ever reaching the water) represents through the vulnerable fence, the
Gevurah/boundaries that are what we need to protect ourself from the metaphor
of sands that can be changing and destructive in wind, and from the water that
can be destructive with winds, tides, downpours and poisons.
In Hod I love to stand in awe at the splendor
of the ocean, and can delight in the water and the bordering sand, maybe with
dunes or castles. Here the harsh winds push the palm fronds and yet the palms
stand upright.
How can I stay strong in powerful elements and
in awe of The Source?
