Hod sh b'Malchut
Humility In Nobility
Sephirat HaOmer day 47
6 weeks and 5 days of the Omer
Hod/Humble appreciation of the gift of being, in Malchut/sovereignty with all my individuality.
Persimmon qualities birth anew in a tiny space and grow to ripe mature fullness in flavor, color, beauty, uniqueness, and quality. Only at the right stage of growth should a persimmon be picked, eaten and enjoyed and shared, or it will be bitter, and wasted. I love the Shin found in the humble unripe Hachiyah persimmon slice.
I am in awe of the baby and the edible persimmon, whether fresh or dried.
In Hod/humility, am I grateful to the Holy One that I, too, am blessed with special qualities, my Malchutness?
Can I burst through my protective skin in joyous fullness and still be humble?
Do others think I am anything but joyous and giving?
In humility, do I share my gifts when I feel I am secure in my skin/skill and heart?
Do I appreciate the gifts that G*d has given me, that I can share, and please Hashem?

May the refinement work of cosmic cleansing that I do on myself during the 49 days of Kabbalistically Counting the Sephirat HaOmer help me to mamash/truly be who I am, and need to become. I desire to delete klipot/husks (negative influences) and again ready myself for Shavuot by strengthening, elevating and perfecting my midot/character traits.
