AURA OVER BELL ROCK, SEDONA
- by Joy Krauthammer

The aura (ohrah) over Bell Rock Vortex in Sedona, Arizona, is for me, a miracle. The Bell Rock image to me represents Malchut sh b'Tiferet. It shows to me the presence of G*d in Harmony, making this a power spot (although not Mt. Sinai). The Sedona vortexes are swirling centers of subtle energy emanating from the surface of the earth. The radiating aura seen above Bell Rock on my photo, is G*d Malchut energy emanating from the rock. Or is the aura a 'cloud cover' as in the Israelite's desert journey, letting us know of G*d's presence? I have not digitally manipulated, nor manually adjusted my photo; No one has. The energy, did however, manipulate an airplane pilot's judgment. Read on...

While on an Arizona Highways group photo expedition, and using a tripod, I took this photo of Bell Rock's aura. Each night we photographers showed our slides which had been developed same day as photo shoot. Corroborating my work, was another photo by another camera man who also had the aura over Bell Rock. It was an awesome metaphysical phenomenon, and remains so for me, which is why I share it during the Counting of the Omer.

What does this Bell Rock Vortex aura mean to me? It visibly shows me metaphysical energies, which are what compose the Sephirot; our attributes, qualities we have (as Divine emanations from G*D) and we want to integrate into our conscious being. Energies manifest in different ways, including in our actions. We Jews 'Count the Omer' from Pesach until Shavuot, to examine and purify our actions, to shine our souls in preparation to receive Torah, G*d's words.

Joy absorbing Tree of Life
The powerful Bell Rock, one of the famous Sedona vortexes, exudes masculine and feminine energy and resonates strength of balance to the inner being. It is the vessel of Malchut holding all the energies of all the other Divine emanations in their downward flow. Tiferet is in the central column connecting to all Sephirot. The Malchut red rock is in relationship with Tiferet, place, heart space of balance, harmony, compassion, and beauty on the Tree of Life. Viewing the massive Bell Rock, I am enthralled with its beauty. (I like it that my beloved Grandma's, z'l, maiden name (shortened at immigration) became Bell, and in my sound healing work, I play bells that had belonged to my mother, z'l.)

When visiting Sedona, I like to meditate at the vortexes and receive the spiritual balancing energies. which my body feels.

When I spend time at the earth's energy centers, the vortexes, I feel myself in balance, grounded, rooted, and at peace.

In Sedona, I was able to extend myself and shift, and I shed fear in certain situations; i.e. being able to finally cross Oak Creek. My balancing adventure was when presented with a long and narrow natural log, serving as a bridge, I was able to cross over the water filled creek, whereas before, in fear, I could not cross through the creek. I honored myself as healer. In trust, I accepted another as my guide.

I honored G*d's earth to keep it in balance. For the first time, I excitedly witnessed growing crystals attached to rocks, and did not take them away from the votexes, as I might do with a pebble.

All the energies that flowed down through the Sephirotic six vessels and into Malchut gave me a centered position. I felt more at One. Shechinah / the Indwelling Feminine Presence,  resides in Sephirah Malchut. I was practicing awareness of my self in a place of harmony. I know that G*d was very present with me in the state of Malchut sh b'Tiferet. At a vortex, I could feel my hands tingling with energy.

Before arriving and when I came to Sedona, I had a worrisome pain in my body. In Sedona I bought a male and female pair of 3/4" elliptical shaped, electro-magnetic energized "Boji" stones. “Boji’s ® are a container for balanced energy; and are used for healing, balance and joy.” The crystalized male healing Boji has uneven, angular surface protrusions of platelets (see photo). In Sedona I used them together, and Baruch Hashem, I was healed.

I made a stability mistake at the water's edge of Oak Creek, while alone and photographing Cathedral Rock Vortex from a famous vista, and I slipped into the Canyon's rushing water. I quickly managed to catch a low hanging tree branch as I was swept along, and held on while keeping my large camera above water. Two strangers (women) rescued me. Beshert /meant to be, I encountered them again in the evening when I went into a New Age store.

With a friend, on another day while hiking (something I never do alone), I became lost in Boynton Canyon Vortex, and managed with blesSings, Baruch Hashem, to find my way out through the trees. (Since then, I always carry with me, a compass.)

Near the Airport Mesa Vortex, I purchased a rain stick with a soothing sound (when I gently and carefully turn it). It is a natural, dried hollow plant, slender and over 3 feet long. The energetic magic surrounding the rain stick became awesome and apparent. Upon leaving Sedona to return home, the plane's Security personnel wouldn't allow me on the plane with the rain stick in my hand (a weapon?), and didn't believe the stick was to help my "walking balance". Airport employees insisted on 'bubble wrapping' the rain stick, and sent it ahead with checked luggage. I only had a 'carry-on' bag, so I didn't have to wait for luggage to arrive.

I didn't want the rain stick packed with luggage, and fussed so long at security that I was running late for the take-off time. The rain stick was put "on board below". By the time I reached the plane departure gate, right in front of my eyes, maybe 20 feet away, the doors closed shut and the plane taxied off. Up and down with expressive waving arms, I repeatedly jumped on the raised waiting platform because I was so upset, knowing this was the last plane of the night back to LA, and my rain stick was on board.

G*d heard me and felt my uplifting body energy. A miracle happened. The plane did taxi away. I watched through the window as the plane then turned around on the runway and CAME BACK for me! The gate employee opened the large doors on the ramp and then the plane opened its heavy door. I stepped into the plane, the door closed, and walking down the single aisle (with passengers' faces staring at me), I took the remaining seat in the rear, last row with a seat that could not recline backed against the wall, so I sat upright for the entire trip.

I was the last person to deplane. The pilot was waiting for me at the exit door. In compassion, he asked me, (Nu?) "Why did I come back for you? I saw you jumping up and down."

I don't think the pilot appreciated my rain stick story. I use that loved rain stick all these years for balancing energy in my Sounds of Joy ~ Sound Spa healing sessions. The rain stick contains the magic-- G*d's energy. The rain stick must have absorbed all the flowing energies of all the Sephirot gathered into Malchut, a home for Holy energy, and was in balance in Tiferet, place of beauty, harmony and compassion.

Or is it me, who absorbed all the Sefirotic holy energies? At the 'gate', I had made my body like a milk shake from all the tranquil vortex energy I had absorbed. G*d heard me. In the magic of Sedona, land of sacred vortexes, where G*d's presence is physically felt, and aurahs are visibly seen on photos, the plane came back for me. I was elevated within the state of Malchut sh b'Tiferet. I remained in mystical harmony so that in compassion for others, and in joy and beauty, in appreciation for subtle energies, I can play my rain stick.
